OPTIMA-CON 27 is a national conference hosted by the ARC Training Centre in Optimisation Technologies, Integrated Methodologies, and Applications (OPTIMA). It brings together industry leaders, practitioners, researchers and students from around Australia and overseas to look at how optimisation gets translated into practical outcomes for business, government and the wider economy.

The program leans towards the applied end: industry-led workshops, case studies, panels and facilitated discussion. At its centre are hands-on optimisation challenge workshops built around real problems supplied by our industry partners, where industry people, academics and students work on solutions together. There's plenty of room around the sessions — coffee breaks, social events — for the conversations that turn into projects and partnerships later on.

We're not running to a single theme. Optimisation shows up across sectors and disciplines, and the program is meant to reflect that.

Submitting?

Head to the call for proposals for what we're after and how to put a submission together. Once the program is settled, it'll appear under schedule.

Everything else — registration, venue, travel — lives on the conference website.
